Will Asheville’s River Arts District Recover From Hurricane Helene?

Jeffrey Burroughs, president of the River Arts District Artists association, described the devastation, noting that large portions of the district had been swept away by floodwaters.

Despite the loss, artists and community members worked together to salvage work and support each other while planning the future of the district.
