Jeffrey Burroughs Advances in Asheville City Council Primary

Jeffrey Burroughs, a jeweler and president of the River Arts District Artists association, advanced in the Asheville City Council primary. It is Burroughs’ first time running for public office.

Burroughs said they were humbled by the support shown by voters and expressed a commitment to continue serving the community. Their campaign has focused strongly on Hurricane Helene recovery and the rebuilding of Asheville’s creative economy.

Burroughs also serves as chair of the city’s Hurricane Helene Economy Recovery Board, bringing together partners across sectors to support long-term recovery and resilience.
