Asheville Artists Work to Recover After Hurricane Helene
Following Hurricane Helene, artists across Asheville began organizing events and fundraisers to support those who lost studios and artwork.
Jewelry designer Jeffrey Burroughs helped organize arts festivals and community gatherings to bring visitors back to the River Arts District and support local artists financially.
Burroughs emphasized the importance of continued community support, noting that without local residents and visitors supporting artists, the creative heartbeat of the city could be at risk.
